On 21 March, Blue Apple proudly took the reins of the Association of Catering Excellence (ACE) Instagram account, to offer a glimpse into our day to day operations and to follow a number of our dedicated staff as they embarked on yet another worthy fundraising initiative alongside their daily responsibilities.
Blue Apple is a proud partner of The Brain Tumour Charity, and following on from last year’s highly successful Big Bandana Bake the 2019 event coincided with our social media activities for ACE. The idea was to get baking to raise awareness and funding for this vitally important cause, and Endang Gonzalez, Chef Manager for Blue Apple at one of our prestigious Bedfordshire sites, was in charge of coordinating and recording our efforts there via the ACE Instagram channel.
From White Chocolate Rocky Road and Lemon Drizzle to Carrot Cake and Lemon and Blueberry, the bakes Blue Apple’s teams created were truly irresistible!
Endang commented: “It was a fantastic day and we were very excited to be representing ACE at the same time as contributing to this amazing charity. My team here absolutely love baking, and the quality and variety of the cakes and bakes was amazing. I’m so proud that we managed to raise several hundred pounds, at the same time as putting lots of smiles on the faces of those that ate them.”
