The Blue Apple team were thrilled to see Sales and Marketing Director, Sarah Prentice, pick up the coveted ‘Salesperson of the Year’ award at the Foodservice Cateys on Friday 11th October, following a landmark year that has seen our proudly independent business win contracts with a number of high-profile clients.
Sarah joined Blue Apple in 2014 boasting a wealth of experience attained in business development roles in the catering industry and since her arrival, she has created a sales and marketing team which has become one of the most formidable in the sector. Her hard work, creativity and passion has helped Blue Apple obtain contracts with clients including Tata Technologies and Whitbread and has helped the business achieve record turnover, year-on-year.
Featuring on the four-person shortlist at the annual awards dinner, held at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, the award was based on performance over the past 12 months and with 2019 being a landmark year for Sarah and the team — securing contracts worth over 3 million pounds in turnover for a number of contracts including a leading charity, a global data insights company and catering for staff at one of the UK’s busiest airports — she was deservedly recognised for her fantastic work!
The award also champions the importance of relationship building and the aftersales process, and Sarah was selected for her friendly and enthusiastic approach with her clients, with the awards committee remarking that “clients love her and opponents fear her!”
