Head Chef

Location icon (SL2) Slough, Berkshire
Salary icon £40,000 pa. Full-time (40 hours per week)

We are looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic Head Chef based in Slough to lead one of our large corporate contracts, which has a high level of hospitality. The ideal candidate should be a talented chef and a strong leader, with excellent organisational and motivational skills. Relationship building and anticipating client needs will be essential in this role.

  • Lead the kitchen team by creating an environment in which they can perform at their best
  • To be creative and innovative with quality ingredients in production and staging
  • Ensure we deliver the best catering and food offer within budget
  • Monitor the service and our food offering so that it constantly exceeds customers’ expectations
  • Keep an eye on the budget so that profitability is sustained
  • Ensure compliance at all time with all health and safety, food hygiene and other regulations, policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain excellent client and customer relationships so that you work in partnership and deliver a service that meets their needs
  • Manage stock levels and oversee the purchasing process
  • Ensure all GP targets are delivered
  • Recruit, develop and carry out performance reviews for your team
  • Ensure the kitchen is immaculately clean at all times

To be successful you will need to demonstrate an affinity with our values, a track record of leading teams to success, and strong client and customer relationship building skills. Previous cost sector catering experience essential, knowledge of day-to-day bookwork, budget management and managing compliance will be essential. We’re looking for someone with an aptitude for developing and training their team to enable everyone to perform at their best.
