On 14th October, 20 members of the Blue Apple team will join the hundreds of others who have pledged to walk a 10km route around Windsor for The Brain Tumour Charity. The aim is to raise as much money as possible to fund research to help defeat this devastating disease and the event will see a great many people come together, celebrate loved ones, raise money and make strides towards a cure for brain tumours.
Ruston Toms, Founding Director at Blue Apple, has been closely involved in fundraising for the charity since his own son, Jordan, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2015 whilst at university. Since then, Blue Apple has become an official partner to the charity and continues to maximise its efforts wherever an opportunity presents itself. The teams raised over £2500 at the Big Bandana Bake earlier in the year, are looking forward to the Twilight Walk in Windsor and also have plans for a charity football match in early 2019.
Ruston commented: “We are proud to be able to support the Brain Tumour Charity in some way and we will continue to raise funds wherever possible and to do all we can to raise awareness. The team here have been fantastic in their efforts, as they are with all of the charities we support, and this of course is one that is particularly close to my heart. We are all looking forward to dusting off our walking boots on 14th October.”
