Blue Apple adopts woodland

25th March 2019

As part of our wider sustainability and CSR initiatives for 2019, we are pleased to have adopted ¼ of an acre of woodland on the Berkshire and Oxfordshire border to offset our document printing from 2018. It’s all part of our programme of ‘Green Apple’ pledges that we make each year, which are driven by our Green Apple Ambassadors within the company to ensure each is achieved or surpassed within our time frames.

Sarah Prentice, Sales and Marketing Director and Green Apple Ambassador, commented: “The adoption of an area of woodland to offset our 2018 document printing is just one of a wide range of initiatives we are working towards in 2019. Sustainability and CSR are areas that deserve our constant attention, and both are woven into the fabric of our day to day operations. This particular area of woodland is close to our head office and we are looking forward to enjoying a picnic there with a selection of treats from our development kitchens!”

Blue Apple’s 2018 Sustainability and CSR Report outlines our commitment to continuous improvement across the business in areas such as carbon emissions and waste reduction, energy saving and a number of staff welfare programmes. You can have a read of it here.
